"How the Government should Invest: Part 2"

How the Govt Should Invest Pt 2

This article by Dr Howell was submitted and accepted for publication in 2006 in Public Sector, and is due for publication in the March 2007 issue. Because of the current public interest and debate, the Editor has agreed for it to be available on the CSRI website.

"Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is often seen in terms of a company's reputation, but while reputation risk is important, the field is wider than that. CSR is concerned with many aspects of a company's impact, from sourcing to service delivery or product disposal. The most significant issues tend to be human rights, labour conditions and environmental impacts…The risks can directly affect sales, costs, quality and other key aspects of business performance".
