2004 - "Global Ethics, Local Action - a Framework for
New Zealand Investment"
The inaugural conference for the Council
for Socially Responsible Investment was held in Auckland
at the Waipuna Conference Centre, Mt Wellington, for one
day on 1 March 2004.

The conference provided space and opportunity
for individuals and organisations with a religious, environmental
or morally responsible interest to:
- describe their interests, issues and
activities
- discuss common themes, and explore
ways in which they can work effectively together
- describe spiritual, moral and philosophical
drivers for socially responsible investment
- learn and benefit from overseas experience
The discussion of local activities included
a description of:
- New Zealand religious, socially responsible
and Government investment
- sustainability issues in New Zealand
- spiritual, philosophical and moral
drivers
